Assistant Infant Teacher

Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Infant Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will create a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children, fostering their social, emotional, and cognitive development. This role requires a strong commitment to early childhood education and the ability to engage with children in a positive and encouraging manner.

Responsibilities

• Implement age-appropriate activity plans that promote learning through play and exploration.
• Create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive classroom environment for all students.
• Facilitate activities that support children's physical, emotional, and social development.
• Observe and assess children's progress, providing feedback to parents and guardians as needed.
• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the educational experience for all students.
• Maintain open communication with parents regarding their child's development and daily activities.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including first aid protocols.
• Support children with diverse needs, including those with disabilities or special requirements.
• Assist with daily care routines such as feeding and diapering, adhering to the daily schedule of the center and each individual child's needs.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in caregiving or childcare settings is preferred, including roles such as nannying or daycare provider.
• Strong understanding of early childhood education principles and practices.
• Ability to provide infant care and toddler care as needed.
• Certification in first aid and is highly desirable; certification will be provided within the first 90 days of hiring.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with children, parents, and staff.
• A genuine love for working with young children and a commitment to their growth and development.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $12.00 - $12.50 per hour

Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
