We are looking for a seasoned Part Time Outpatient Pediatric Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our team at KidSHINE!
KidSHINE, a leading North Shore pediatric occupational therapy clinic, is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic part time Pediatric Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our team! This part time role includes the flexibility to build your own schedule and to work as little or as much as you want in either of our two state of the art sensory gyms in Massachusetts (Rowley and Amesbury). In this role, you will provide individualized therapy to support each child’s growth, independence, and confidence, utilizing play-based and movement-centered techniques. KidSHINE team members make a real difference in the lives of children while growing professionally in a supportive, collaborative and fun environment.
Responsibilities:
· Provide occupational therapy evaluations and treatment to children with various diagnoses, using both traditional and innovative methods, including the EXERSHINEkids POWER Bootcamp Program.
· Write daily SOAP notes, goal reviews, complete evaluations and write assessment reports
· Apply a sensory informed, trauma informed, play-based, child-centered approach to therapy, tailored to each child’s interests, strengths, and developmental needs.
· Collaborate with parents, teachers, other professionals and colleagues to ensure continuity of the care team
· Lead group programs such as bootcamps, birthday parties, and summer sessions, incorporating fitness and movement into therapy.
Qualifications:
· Minimum 3-5 years of pediatric OT experience as an OTR: Must include experience in sensory integration, trauma-informed care, strengths-based approach, and addressing primitive reflexes.
· Experience working with client profiles including Disorders of Sensory Processing, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD).
· Strong clinical written and verbal communication skills
· Proven track record of solution-based problem solving, team collaboration ability and strong work ethic.
· Ability to work well in both individual and group settings, committed to delivering high-quality care and possessing a passion for working with children.
· Enthusiastic about integrating fitness into therapy sessions to enhance child engagement.
· Holds a current Occupational Therapy (OTR) license in Massachusetts (dual license in NH a plus).
· Holds current CPR and First Aid certifications.
