Job Summary
KidSpace is looking for multiple adults to join our team! We are a new childcare center in Lewiston focusing on accepting children with identified special needs.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote early childhood education and literacy.
- Create a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment conducive to learning.
- Monitor and assess children's progress in various developmental areas, including social, emotional, cognitive, and physical skills.
- Utilize effective classroom management techniques to maintain a positive learning atmosphere.
- Collaborate with parents and guardians to discuss children's development and address any concerns.
- Incorporate special education strategies as needed to support diverse learning needs within the classroom.
- Foster a love for learning through creative activities, play-based learning, and hands-on experiences.
Skills
- Experience working with young children in an educational setting.
- Strong understanding of childhood development principles.
- Knowledge of special education practices to accommodate diverse learners.
