What are the responsibilities and job description for the PEDIATRIC MEDICINE TEAM RN position at KidsPeace Childrens Hospital?
The Pediatric Medicine Team Nurse provides holistic healthcare and education to clients in all programs served by the Pediatric Medicine team, in order to promote physical health within the context of mental health issues being treated, and to support overall wellness. The Pediatric Medicine Team Nurse works in collaboration with the Pediatric Medicine medical staff members (Pediatrician, Advanced Practice Professionals / ”APPs”) and coordinates with other program staff to support clinical interventions and treatment ordered by the Pediatric Medicine team.Qualifications (Education, Training and Experiences) :
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing and current Pennsylvania Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Minimum of one-year pediatric, adolescent or outpatient or clinical nursing experience is preferred.
- Experience with practice management in a clinic setting is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to function as a member of a team required.
- Excellent problem-solving, decision-making and conflict resolution skills are required.
- You must have the ability to express or exchange information by means of spoken word. You must have the ability to read, understand, speak and write in English. Bilingual skills are helpful.
- The candidate must pass a Criminal Record History Clearance and a Child Abuse History Clearance as well as possess a valid Driver’s License.
- Pediatric CPR / First Aid certification required or immediate certification training required.
