What are the responsibilities and job description for the TEACHER ASSISTANT position at KidsPeace Childrens Hospital?
The Teacher Assistant is responsible for providing overall assistance to the teacher during school hours. Areas of assistance will be in the delivery of therapeutic service plans, instructional systems, and lesson plans for school-age children.
QUALIFICATIONS :
- 90 college credits & an Education Technician Certification through Maine Department of Education preferred.
- Obtain and / or maintain Maine state certification as a paraprofessional.
- Some experience with acute emotionally challenged children or adolescents preferred.
- Must possess basic personal computer knowledge and skills.
- Clerical or other light office experience preferred.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Must possess a valid driver's license.
