What are the responsibilities and job description for the MANAGER OF BUILDINGS AND GROUNDS position at KidsPeace?
To maintain safe & aesthetically pleasing facilities through effective management of Associates in Maintenance and Utilities/Grounds Departments, as well as contractors.
Qualifications:
Must be 21 years of age or older.
Valid driver's license.
Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate discipline and 5 to 7 years of leadership experience in an appropriate organization setting. OR High School diploma (or GED) with technical training and 7 to 10 years management experience.
Job Duties:
Ensure the aggressive implementation and use of new technology to enhance internal customer service and department efficiency.
Perform administrative duties such as timesheets, purchase orders, HR paperwork, performance evaluations and budget preparation for both departments.
Assure appropriate staffing by conducting interviews for hiring of staff and assuring staff development and guidance through discipline, team meetings and supervision.
Respond to On-Call emergencies
Assure compliance with all regulatory agencies such as OSHA, JCAHO, OCYFS, OMHSAS and ORR.
Coordinate snow removal activities at all KidsPeace locations using in house associates and contractors. Maintain communications within Operations and with other Programs regarding snow removal activities
Oversee the Work Order system, Preventative Maintenance System, construction & renovation projects, office moves, Special Activity Requests & general maintenance of buildings and grounds.
Perform all other duties as assigned by the Director of PA Operations.
All other duties as assigned by management.
