What are the responsibilities and job description for the RN STAFF NURSE (Residential - Inventor) position at KidsPeace?
The RN Staff Nurse provides holistic healthcare and education to clients in order to promote physical and mental health and well being. The RN Staff Nurse works in collaboration with other clinical and non-clinical staff to provide appropriate clinical interventions and treatment.
Competencies:
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing and current Pennsylvania Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
Minimum of one year mental health, pediatric, adolescent or physical health nursing experience preferred.
Demonstrated ability to function as a member of a team required.
Excellent problem solving, decision making and conflict resolution skills required.
Must have the ability to express or exchange information by means of spoken word. Must have the ability to read, understand, speak and write in English. Bilingual skills helpful.
The candidate must pass a Criminal Record History Clearance and a Child Abuse History Clearance as well as possess a valid Driver's License.
SCM certification, observer status required.
SCM Level 1 or 2, strongly preferred.
CPR/First Aid certification required or immediate certification training required.
