PURPOSE OF POSITION
The Respite Care Facilitator is responsible for the coordination and care of the respite clients to ensure the daily physical and emotional needs of the youth (ages 6-16) are fulfilled. This includes following established plans and activities and creating activities to ensure effective education and developmental opportunities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The following duties are normal for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned.
- Coordinate the effective daily care and activities of clients receiving respite care including transportation, as directed.
- Work with agency leaders, therapists, and others to ensure a working knowledge of the service plan or needs of each client attending respite, maintaining confidentiality.
- Learn, implement, and utilize teaching models (P.A.C.E.) and the agency philosophy (KidsTLC Constitution) to integrate and create a positive learning environment.
- Respond to crisis and conflict promptly with confidence, care and professionalism and report to leaders, as required.
- Maintain and follow documentation and recordkeeping of clients and ensure quality standards and HIPAA obligations are met.
- Accomplish and practice all required trainings including First Aid, CPR, P.A.C.E, ESPI and other state required trainings and standards.
- Maintain sight and sound of residence in accordance with state regulations.

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
COMPUTER SKILLS
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have industry relevant software, other web-based software programs, and Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
ENVIRONMENTAL ADAPTABILITY
Residential facility environment with typical noise level, fast paced. The hours of work in this position are normal work week hours with some variances. The incumbent to this position must be flexible with the work schedule and expect schedule changes as required by agency needs. Must be approved.
