Major Duties
- Provide high quality therapeutic care for children, ranging in age from 6-18 years of age, within the Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facility.
- Provide life skills instruction, coping and team building skills for each child.
- Encourage physical, emotional and behavioral growth and development for youth.
- Maintain the safety and security of the children in care and attend to their needs in a nurturing way.
- Provides complete documentation as required.
- Be part of a learning culture, where teamwork and collaboration are encouraged, excellence is rewarded, leadership is valued and diversity is respected.
- Able to work open shifts, 7:00 am - 3:00 pm or 2:00 pm - 10:00 pm or overnights 10:00 pm - 8:00 am. Weekend availability is required.
To be considered for this position, you will need:
Minimum:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 21 years of age with valid drivers' license and satisfactory driving record.
- Strong leadership and mentoring skills with children and teens
- Ability to lead a group in an activity
- Commitment, integrity and adaptability
- Enthusiasm, sense of humor and patience
Preferred:
- College credit hours in social work, psychology or related mental health fields from an accredited college.
- Aptitude to work with youth who have emotional and behavioral challenges.
