Child Care Teacher

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Child Care Teacher to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating a nurturing and stimulating environment for children, fostering their growth and development through engaging activities. You will work closely with toddlers and preschool-aged children, ensuring their safety and well-being while promoting social, emotional, and cognitive skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that encourage learning through play.
• Supervise children in a classroom setting, ensuring a safe and supportive environment.
• Provide individualized attention to each child, catering to their unique needs and interests.
• Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues to create a collaborative community.
• Maintain classroom management by establishing rules and routines that promote respect and cooperation.
• Conduct regular assessments of children's progress and communicate findings to parents.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including first aid procedures.
• Support children with disabilities by adapting activities to meet their specific needs.

Skills

• Experience in toddler care or preschool education is essential.
• Strong classroom management skills to maintain an effective learning environment.
• Previous experience in caregiving or nannying is a plus.
• Knowledge of first aid practices to ensure children's safety.
• Ability to work effectively with children of diverse backgrounds, including those with disabilities.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with children, parents, and staff members.
• Passion for early childhood education and a commitment to fostering children's development.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $9.00 - $11.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25 per week

Schedule:

• 4 hour shift
• 8 hour shift
• Morning shift
• No nights

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Required)
