We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Daycare Director to lead our licensed childcare center serving children from 6 weeks to 5 years old. The ideal candidate will be passionate about early childhood education, possess strong leadership skills, and ensure compliance with state regulations while fostering a nurturing and engaging environment for children, families, and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily operations of the daycare, ensuring a safe, high-quality learning environment.
- Maintain compliance with state licensing regulations and health/safety standards.
- Aid in the implementation of our Experience Early Learning Curriculum and provide supplemental activities.
- Recruit, train, and supervise staff, ensuring professional development and adherence to best practices.
- Manage enrollment, budgeting, and administrative duties.
- Foster positive relationships with parents, children, staff, and the community.
- Address and resolve conflicts or concerns efficiently.
- Monitor and assess program effectiveness, implementing improvements as needed.
Qualifications:
- Associates degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field (Bachelor's preferred) or valid childcare director certification/license as required by state regulations.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in childcare management or a similar leadership role.
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles, licensing requirements, and best practices.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- CPR/First Aid certification and Certified Food Protection Manager license (or willingness to obtain).
- Ability to multitask, problem-solve, and work in a fast-paced environment.
