Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

• Developing and implementing age-appropriate lesson plans (using Alabama Early Learning Guidelines) and daily classroom schedule in accordance with The Creative Curriculum.
• Overall supervision and daily function of classroom of children ages 6 weeks to 12 years.
• Ensuring a safe and consistent child development environment. Maintaining an attractive, well-kept classroom that encourages children to create, explore, and make decisions with confidence.
• Providing verbal recognition to all children while providing clear and consistent expectations for behavior.
• Observing rules and regulations of not only KidTowne, but the local, state, and national regulatory agencies pertaining to the health, safety, and care of children.
• Maintaining overall appearance (adhering to dress code at all times).
• Accepting responsibility for maintaining necessary maintenance and housekeeping duties as it relates to the classroom, playground, or any common areas.
• Assisting in any other areas deemed necessary by administration.

Hourly Rate:

• $13-15 an Hour

Shift is 11-7, Monday-Friday, with opportunity for overtime on weekends.

Experience Preferred

Qualifications:

• Be able to work Monday-Friday
• Must be reliable and dependable
• Meet all DHR Childcare Licensing Requirements
• Pass ABI/FBI Background Check/TB Test/a physical
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Must have High School Diploma or equivalent
• Complete required DHR Training (will be provided)
• CPR Certification (will provide if needed)
