Position Overview:
We’re seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and dependable Legal Assistant to join our team. Key Responsibilities:
- Draft and proofread legal documents, correspondence, and filings
- Schedule client meetings, hearings, and deadlines
- Communicate professionally with clients, courts, and other professionals
- Maintain and organize case files (both digital and physical)
- Manage calendars and assist attorneys in preparation for meetings and court appearances
- Perform general office tasks such as filing, scanning, answering phones, and greeting clients
Qualifications:
- Prior legal experience preferred but not required—willing to train the right candidate
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and basic computer skills
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Professional, friendly, and team-oriented demeanor
