In this role, you’ll specialize in the installation and maintenance of structured cabling systems, working hands-on with our cutting-edge technologies to ensure superior performance and client satisfaction, while collaborating with a skilled team of installers.
As a Cabling Foreman at Kidwell, you will be responsible for supervising the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of low voltage systems across various projects. This position requires a seasoned professional who has experience in leading a team, coordinating job tasks, and ensuring the timely completion of projects. You will collaborate closely with our engineers, project managers, and field staff to ensure that every installation meets our high standards of quality and client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of installers in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of low voltage systems such as access control, camera systems, nurse call systems, and more.
- Supervise on-site installations, ensuring work is performed efficiently, accurately, and within the scope and budget of the project.
- Ensure high-quality installations by overseeing the installation of cabling, devices, servers, network switches, and other system components.
- Communicate regularly with project managers and engineers to understand the scope and design of each project.
- Develop and train a team of installers, providing guidance and support to ensure professional growth and development.
- Foster strong relationships with customers, ensuring they understand how to operate and maintain their newly installed systems.
- Maintain a focus on safety and compliance with all local, state, and company regulations.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices by participating in vendor and industry training.
Job Requirements:
- 4 years of low-voltage experience in a similar role, with a focus on system installations and troubleshooting.
- Previous experience in team management or supervision is highly preferred.
- Associates degree in a relevant field is preferred but not required.
- State licensure is a plus.
- A basic understanding of LAN’s and IP addressing is required.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively with clients, team members, and other stakeholders.
- Ability to work within the estimated job scope and budget to ensure project success.
- Industry or vendor certifications are a plus.
