Job Position Opening
Our team is looking for one part-time eco educator to work 12-15 hours per week.
Preferred:
-- Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field
-- 2 years of experiences teaching in a PreK program
-- Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education, Psychology, Social Service or related field preferred
Required:
-1 year or more experience working in Pre-K/Pre-School
-CPR and First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain
-Passionate about making a difference in the lives of children
-Teamwork, willing to be inclusive for everyone, problem solving and decision makings skills.
-Must be physically able to lift up to 40 lbs and assume low level postures to interact with children appropriately
-High school or equivalent
-Become a member on the Maine Roads to Quality
-Complete Staff Orientation Checklist
-Successfully pass pre-employment background check

$19.00-23.00hr depending on experience and level of education
Additional Description:
This position requires the ability to work with a small educating team. The teaching assistant is a hard-working, enthusiastic, flexible, and confident teacher and learner for a school which strives to be a region inspired, nature based school that models the benefits of child-led environments. Teaching assistants work withthe lead teachers as a partner to implement an engaging, developmentally-appropriate program to meet social, emotional, cognitive and physical needs of 3-8 year old children drawing on a variety of educational philosophies. Assist the lead teachers with setting up in the morning and throughout the day, daily lessons, the rhythm of the day, help with events and celebrations, outdoor adventures, and clean up throughout the day both inside and outside classrooms.

Pay: $19.00 - $23.00 per hour
Expected hours: 12 – 15 per week
