Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Assistant Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will support the lead teacher in delivering high-quality early childhood education and care to children. This role involves fostering a positive learning environment, assisting with lesson planning, and implementing effective behavior management strategies. The Assistant Teacher will work closely with children, to ensure their individual needs are met.
Duties
- Assist the lead teacher in planning and implementing engaging lesson plans that promote early childhood education.
- Provide attentive care to children, ensuring their safety and well-being throughout the day.
- Support classroom activities by preparing materials and organizing learning spaces.
- Implement behavior management techniques to promote positive interactions among students.
- Foster an inclusive environment for all children.
- Observe and document children's progress and development, communicating findings with the lead teacher.
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment conducive to learning.
- Collaborate with parents and guardians to support children's educational journeys.
Requirements
- Experience in early childhood education or related field is preferred.
- Knowledge of lesson planning and classroom management techniques.
- Familiarity with toddler care practices and developmental milestones.
- Ability to work effectively with children of varying abilities, including those with disabilities.
- Strong communication skills for interaction with children, parents, and staff members.
- A passion for working with young children and fostering their growth in a supportive environment.
- Previous experience in a private school setting is a plus but not required.

Pay: $12.00 - $13.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
