Job Summary:

We are seeking a compassionate, energetic, and dedicated Toddler Teacher to join our early childhood education team. The Toddler Teacher will be responsible for nurturing and educating children ages 1 to 3 years old in a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate environment. This individual will foster growth in social, emotional, physical, and cognitive skills, ensuring a foundation for lifelong learning.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Classroom Environment:

  • Create a safe, welcoming, and stimulating classroom environment that promotes exploration and learning.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in accordance with health and safety guidelines.
  • Assist with meal/snack preparation and clean-up.
  • Curriculum and Lesson Planning:

  • Will assist in the planning and execution of classroom activities and help in the maintenance of a safe, healthy, and stimulating classroom environment.
  • Help to provide constant supervision of children at all times, including planning time, outside play time, meal time, and nap time.
  • Incorporate play-based and hands-on learning activities that promote curiosity and creativity.


  • Development:

  • Observe and assess each child's progress, documenting milestones and areas for growth.
  • Provide individualized attention to meet the unique needs of each child.
  • Communication:

  • Foster strong relationships with parents and guardians, providing regular updates on their child's progress and daily activities.
  • Collaborate with other teachers and staff to ensure consistency and quality in educational practices.
  • Maintains the highest level of professionalism at all times.
  • Behavior Management:

  • Implement positive reinforcement strategies to guide toddlers in developing self-regulation and interpersonal skills.
  • Manage transitions and routines to minimize disruptions and encourage predictability for the children.
  • Maintains sensitivity to children’s individuality and responds to those needs appropriately and quickly.
  • Compliance:

  • Adhere to state and local licensing requirements and Kidz Luv policies and procedures.
  • Maintain knowledge, skills and abilities through ongoing education.
  • Attends a minimum of 20 training hours per year.
  • Maintain certifications in CPR, First Aid, and any other required training.



Qualifications:
  • Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED required. At least 21 years of age.

Experience:


  • At least 1 of experience working with toddlers in a childcare or educational setting.
  • Certifications:

  • CPR and First Aid certification
  • Child Development Associate (CDA) credential preferred.
  • Skills and Attributes:

  • Basic knowledge of daycare routines and policies.
  • Ability to follow instructions and learn new skills on the job.
  • Basic Knowledge of child development, age-appropriate expectations, and teaching methods for young children.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Possessing cognitive, organizational, and emotional abilities to deal effectively with multiple stressors, deadlines, difficult situations, and/or family needs.
  • Genuine interest and enjoyment of small children and the ability to stay calm in all situations and to respond to children quietly and reassuringly.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to stand 60% of the time and lift children up to 40 pounds.
  • Frequent bending, standing, and kneeling.
  • Ability to actively engage with toddlers at their level, including sitting on the floor or small chairs.


Salary : $14 - $17
