Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Infant Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a genuine love for working with young children starting at the age of 6 weeks. As an Infant Teacher, you will create a nurturing and engaging classroom environment that fosters learning and development for children aged 6 weeks to 18 months. Your role will involve implementing age-appropriate curricula and activities that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical growth.
Responsibilities
- Creating engaging and stimulating activities that promote sensory, motor, and cognitive development.
- Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment conducive to learning.
- Ensuring the physical safety of the infants and maintaining a clean and organized classroom.
- Foster strong relationships with children, parents, and staff to support each child's development.
- Monitor and assess children's progress through observations and documentation and work effectively with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and supportive environment for the infants.
- Provide first aid when necessary and ensure the health and safety of all students.
- Changing diapers, feeding, and assisting with other hygiene needs.
Experience
- Proven experience in caregiving or childcare settings, preferably as an Infant Teacher or in similar roles.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices in early education.
- Experience with behavior management techniques tailored for infant-aged children.
- Familiarity with first aid procedures & infant safety is highly desirable.
- Previous experience as a nanny or in infant care is required.
- Strong communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, and colleagues.
- A genuine passion for educating young minds and fostering their growth in an infant setting.
