Overview
The Child Care Assistant Director plays a vital role in supporting the overall management and operation of our child care facility. Duties
- Assist the Director in managing the daily operations of the child care center, ensuring a safe and engaging environment for children.
- Collaborate with teaching staff to develop and implement educational programs that meet the developmental needs of students.
- Provide guidance and support to educators in classroom management and curriculum planning.
- Foster positive relationships with parents, addressing their concerns and providing updates on their children's progress.
- Ensure compliance with state regulations and licensing requirements related to child care services.
- Participate in recruitment, training, and evaluation of staff members to maintain a high standard of care.
- Organize and facilitate staff meetings, professional development opportunities, and team-building activities.
- Maintain accurate records related to student enrollment, attendance, and assessments.
Qualifications
- Experience working with students in an educational setting is highly desirable.
- A degree from a university in Education Administration or a related field is preferred.
- Previous experience in higher education teaching or administration is a plus.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to educate both staff and parents effectively.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities and a commitment to fostering a collaborative team environment.
- Knowledge of early childhood development principles and best practices in child care.
