Evening childcare manager

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership & Supervision:

• Oversee evening staff, including teachers, aides, and support personnel.

• Ensure staff adhere to all safety, supervision, and curriculum guidelines.

• Conduct regular check-ins and support staff with any challenges that arise.

• Handle evening shift scheduling and coverage needs.

Childcare & Program Quality:

• Maintain a safe, positive, and developmentally appropriate environment for children.

• Implement and oversee engaging activities that support learning and social development.

• Ensure children’s needs are met, including meals, hygiene, and emotional well-being.

• Address any behavioral issues with positive guidance techniques.

Parent & Family Communication:

• Greet and interact with parents during pick-up times, addressing questions and concerns.

• Provide updates on child progress, incidents, or special events.

• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions

Administrative Duties:

• Manage evening enrollments, sign-ins, and sign-outs.

• Handle minor operational tasks, such as supply inventory and facility upkeep.

• Assist with billing inquiries or direct parents to the appropriate personnel.

• Prepare reports for the Center Director on evening operations.

Must be fluid in Spanish and English

Must have knowledge and understanding with state licensing regulations

Must have experience and knowledge with New Mexico Pre-K

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $14.00 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25 per week
