What are the responsibilities and job description for the Infant/Toddler room teacher position at KidZone Learning Center of Wyandotte County, Inc.?
We are a Christian Childcare facility seeking a Lead Teacher to join our organization! This individual will be responsible for the overall operation of an early childhood education classroom.
Responsibilities:
- Create a fun and safe learning environment.
- Instruct children in activities designed to promote their physical, intellectual, social-emotional and spiritual development.
- Write daily lesson plans.
- Track each student’s progress.
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with students and parents.
- Communicate with parents on students' growth and progress.
- Maintain the health and safety of all students.
- Mentor assistant teachers.
- Qualifications:
- An Early Childhood or Elementary Education Degree, CDA or equivalent training in child development
- Previous experience in childcare, teaching, or other related fields
- Passionate about working with children
- Ability to build rapport with children
- Positive and patient demeanor
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Certification in First Aid, Recognizing Signs of Child Abuse and Neglect and Recognizing Signs and Symptoms of Disease & Illness in Children
- 15 clock hours of in-service training is required annually
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $13.00 - $19.00 per hour
