Summary
This lead teacher will work alongside the infant teacher to create a fun, exciting, and hands-on learning experience for our 1-2 year oldl classroom. This teacher will help develop and implement curriculum and manage the day to day operational activities of the classroom. He or she must understand children's cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development in order to ensure a safe and stimulating classroom environment where children are actively engaged and encouraged to succeed. This teacher must be skilled in communicating with both children and adults in order to meet the needs of the children, effectively guide any teacher assistants, and resolve parental concerns. The position reports to the assistant director and director.
The job will be Monday-Friday, 29 hours a week. The specific hours of the position will be discussed during the interview process. Example of potential hours would be 7 : 45-2 : 00 with a 30 min lunch break. Salary is based on applicant's qualifications and experience.
Duties
- Manage the day-to-day operational activities of the classroom
- Coordinate and implement curriculum by developing classroom activities based on developmentally appropriate practices and early learning standards.
- Maintain frequent communication with parents through informal discussions, progress reports, and parent-teacher conferences (upon request).
- Ensure all center policies and state regulations are met.
- Ensure a positive and healthy classroom environment

Must be 18 years of age
