What are the responsibilities and job description for the Preschool Assistant Teacher- M-F, 1:00pm-5:00pm position at Kidzworks Preschool & Daycare?
This open position is for an assistant teacher that can come alongside our lead teachers at the end of our school day. This teacher would mostly be f;oating in our preschool classroom, but sometimes in our 2s preschool classroom as well. This position can also come with occasional subbing opportunities during the week, if desired.
This hours for this position are Monday-Friday 1:00pm - 5:00pm This position can also fulfill subbing opportunities when they arise to get more hours during the week, if desired.
Duties
-Working with the lead teacher to supervise and interact with children in their daily after school activities.
-Participating in and Leading fun and interactive large group activities and games.
-Guiding and interacting with children during after school activities such as arts and crafts, stories, dramatic play, etc...
-Assisting the lead teacher with classroom management, and interacting with parents at the end of the day as children are being picked up from school.
-Ensuring all center policies and State regulations are being followed.
-Ensuring a healthy classroom environment.
Requirements
-High energy and the ability to work well with others (staff, children, and parents).
-Strong communication skills in interacting with parents and teachers each day.
-Infant/Child First Aid and CPR certification
-Must clear full background and fingerprint check and must pass health screening.
-Wisconsin Early Childhood Registry Membership
-Assistant Teacher Certification
-Strong Classroom Management Skills
