Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Equipment Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical knowledge and experience operating various types of heavy equipment. This role is focused on operating a hook truck transporting various materials on-site at our working location. Other job duties and equipment operations may be added as needed or redirected by our workflow. Employee for this role will need to be efficient and set safety first while contributing to the successful completion of projects.
Duties
- Operate heavy equipment such as hook trucks, backhoes, dump trucks, and tankers to perform tasks including digging, building, and transporting materials.
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
- Follow safety protocols and regulations while operating machinery in various environments.
- Collaborate with team members to coordinate tasks and ensure project timelines are met.
- Maintain accurate records of equipment usage and any maintenance performed.
- Assist in other areas around the job site as needed and assigned.
Experience
- Experience in heavy equipment operation with transporting materials.
- Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and perform basic repairs on equipment.
- Valid commercial driving license is preferred but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with hook trucks and dump trucks.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
