Job Description
As an Assistant Site Manager, you will play a key role in supporting smooth operations and providing excellent service to residents. Responsible for timely interim certifications, resident file upkeep, and assisting with daily tasks, this role ensures the efficient functioning of Tamarac Apartments in Huron, SD.
What You Will Do:
- Adhere to regulations including the Fair Housing Act, Americans with Disabilities Act, Section 504, and applicable federal and state laws.
- Support property marketing initiatives.
- Conduct apartment tours for potential residents.
- Assist with initial screenings and pre-application processes.
- Manage and update resident files.
- Facilitate purchase and work order processes.
- Maintain current records of residents and rental amounts.
- Enforce property rules and regulations.
- Distribute tenant notices, such as 30-day and recertification notices.
- Ensure high-quality, timely service for residents.
- Prepare vacant units for occupancy, coordinating with maintenance as needed.
- Clean vacant units as necessary.
- Attend monthly site manager meetings.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Section 8 / Tax Credit / Home Fund
- Complete annual recertifications in a timely manner.
- Ensure resident files comply with KPM policies and procedures.
- Edit and distribute monthly resident newsletters.
- Maintain an applicant waiting list in compliance with program standards and legal requirements.
- Screen prospective residents, verifying program eligibility.
- Complete necessary forms for all qualified residents, including recertifications.
- Assist with audit preparation and responses.
- Provide reasonable accommodations as needed for individuals with disabilities.
- Other duties as assigned.
