RESONSIBILITIES
Technical Responsibilities
- Able to assist in all types of surveys, including, but not limited to, construction staking, As-Builts, ALTA topographic, boundary, laser scanning, drone work and subdivision surveys
- Able to read and write stakes accurately and legibly
- Ensures accuracy of all staking points and calculations
- Assists with duties as assigned by the Party Chief or Project Manager
- Ensures the survey equipment and truck are properly maintained, stocked, and organized for daily use.
- Other duties as assigned.
EXPERIENCE
- 1-3 years previous Surveying experience
- Knowledge of survey practices and procedures
- Fundamental knowledge of mathematics, geometry and trigonometry and appropriate software to perform these functions.
- Familiar with relevant equipment such as Trimble Robotic Total Station, digital and conventional levels, Trimble 3D scanners, and related software applications.
- General knowledge of computers, Microsoft office, internet, One-Drive, etc.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
- Interacting with technology (computer, cellphone, etc.)
- Ability to lift and/or carry items up to 20 lbs.
- Occasional travel – driving or flying - to offices, jobsites, client meetings, etc.
- Prolonged periods of standing/walking outdoors
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions (field crew only)
