Essential Job Functions
- Assure orders and shipping quantities match picking documents through careful audit of said documents.
- Prepare reports, manage shipping schedules, and perform other administrative tasks.
- Assist in resolving any discrepancies.
- Help with or complete special projects at the discretion of the Lead or Supervisors.
- Answer/route all telephone calls in a polite manner, taking messages and routing to proper individual in a timely manner.
- Coordinate with carriers to schedule pick-up of goods.
- Prepare accurate bills of lading for outbound freight.
- Assist in training new associates.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Must have at least one-year experience in Transportation or Logistics industry
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Experience with E-1 preferred, but not required
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
- Good understanding of LTL shipments, Bill of lading, and PO processing.
- Good record keeping and organizational skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
