What are the responsibilities and job description for the Land Surveyor position at Kilduff Underground Engineering?
Kilduff Underground Engineering (KUE) is an underground design consulting firm supporting construction contracts and is seeking a full-time Surveyor, with at least 2 years experience, to assist and manage projects focused on underground construction in the Albany, NY area. At KUE, we specialize in supporting contractors, A/E firms and owners with the design, inspection and rehabilitation of tunnels ranging in size from 12-inches to 60-feet in diameter. The firm provides standard geotechnical design services, deep excavation support design (SOE), claims support, construction management services, as well as designs, installs and monitors geotechnical instrumentation. The position will be on the Champlain-Hudson-Power Express Project (CHPE) and will run through July 2025. tasks include:
· Be a lead in a 2-man survey crew
· Assist in all Survey & Instrumentation
· Data processing
· Measure Survey Points Utilizing an EDM Total Station
· Staking for Tunnel Offsets & Inverts
· Settlement monitoring with rod/level
· Establish Benchmarks
· Daily Reporting
· Provide QA/QC
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $45.00 - $55.00 per hour
