Responsibilities:
As an Accounts Payable Clerk with Kiley Management, you will:
- Monitor and follow up on overdue tenant balances, issue collection notices, and initiate recovery efforts.
- Process and post payments received from tenants and third-party payers, ensuring proper allocation and reconciliation.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all accounts receivable transactions and tenant communications.
- Respond to tenant inquiries regarding balances, payment discrepancies, and billing concerns.
- Work closely with property managers and leasing teams to resolve billing and payment disputes.
- Prepare and analyze accounts receivable reports, including aging reports, cash flow projections, and reconciliation reports.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities, including reconciliations, journal entries, and financial reporting.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, industry regulations, and company policies related to accounts receivable and tenant collections.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate should possess:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts receivable, preferably within the property management or real estate industry.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, tenant collections, and affordable housing programs (Section 8).
- Proficiency in Buildium or similar property management software..
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial record-keeping.
- Strong interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with tenants, property managers, and third-party agencies.
