Overview
We are seeking a safety oriented, experienced, leader to supervise at Arizona Materials. This position is responsible for managing all parts of an aggregate production facility to include quarry development, operations, maintenance, crushing, screening, material handling and mobile equipment. Working knowledge of aggregate specifications and quality control to be able to adequately manage, develop and train plant employees is imperative. The ability to effectively communicate, provide customer service, internal and external to the company, and closely manage safety, labor and resources is a staple to the success of our overall operation. ââ¬Â¯

Roles & Responsibilities
Owning and facilitating leadership for an effective safety programDirecting day-to-day operations of crushing, excavating, screening, stockpiling, load outs and scale operationsMaintaining adequate knowledge and remaining abreast of the latest manufacturing techniques, equipment and processes in order to manage, maintain and improve overall production.Developing and implementing daily safety inspections of the plant and quarry to spot potential risks / concerns and maintain compliance in safety and good housekeeping standards.Responsibly maintaining budget profits and ownership for Profit & LossManaging all phases of maintenance operations according to manufacturerââ¬â¢s recommended specifications to ensure the companyââ¬â¢s interest and property is protected.Supervising the maintenance of accurate files for all plant and mobile equipment maintenanceRecommending maintenance policies and practices to improve efficiency and safety for consideration by Area Manager.Ensuring the timeliness and accuracy of all record keeping pertaining to maintenance, production, purchasing and sales.Supervising plant employees, while maintaining sound employee relations to provide a quality product with exceptional customer service. Responsible for all areas of employee relations through following proper and fair hiring techniques, training, motivating and proper administration of policies and work rules as outlined by the company.Maintaining good customer and community relations.Qualifications & Skills
To qualify for this position, one must possess ââ¬â
Minimum 5 years of previous management experience requiredFour-year college degree preferred [i.e. Mining, Geology, Business] OR proven track record of leading a successful construction aggregate facilityStrong leadership abilitiesExcellent oral and written communication skillsAbility to communicate effectively with individuals at all organizational levels, including senior managementCurrent driverââ¬â¢s license that meets state requirementsA Motor Vehicle Record [MVR] that meets company standards;Be willing to work outdoors in extreme weather temperatures, both hot and cold;Good computer skills ââ¬â MS Office, other mining softwareKnowledge of aggregates production including maintenance, heavy equipment, safety and engineering;Possess basic accounting skills including an understanding of ROA and balance sheetsThe physical demands described above are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the necessary functions of this job.
