Test Technician I (2nd shift only)

JOB SUMMARY

Performs testing operations on one or more product lines and provides results to necessary personnel

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Sets up, operates, and uses various types of test and test setup equipment
• Performs test item preparation in accordance with Test or Process Specifications
• Performs tests in accordance with Test Specifications and/or Departmental Instructions
• Reports all test discrepancies
• Input pellet burn data into testing database

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY

• N/A

EDUCATION

• High School Diploma, or equivalent

EXPERIENCE

• Six months of experience in manufacturing, preferably in a quality assurance role

SKILLS and QUALIFICATIONS

• Good written and oral communications skills
• Capable of learning to operate various types of test equipment
• Ability to operate a motor vehicle
• Valid driver’s license or ability to obtain such within 90 days
• Eligible to possess explosives under the Safe Explosives Act of 2003 (as amended) as required by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms (ATF)
• Willing to work in an environment that requires a “Safety First” attitude. Must obey all Safety, Health & Environmental rules/regulations prescribed by regulatory agencies that are incorporated into company policy
• Ability read and follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
• On the job training will be required

PHYSICAL AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to handle energetic and non-energetic material
• The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, and sit. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
• The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds
