What are the responsibilities and job description for the Electrical Superintendent position at Kilgore Ind.?
Kilgore Industries, one of the largest Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing subcontractors in the state of Texas is looking for an experienced Electrical Superintendent for our San Antonio branch. The Superintendent is responsible for providing on-site coordination for all phases of electrical construction projects, including coordinating employees, materials, and equipment; ensuring specifications are strictly followed; and that the project proceeds on schedule and within budget.
PRIMARY DUTIES:
- Schedule and supervise employees in the critical path to ensure timely completion
- Perform quality control duties and responsibilities regarding the work being performed
- Communicate with the project team regarding all relevant key performance indicators and stress points
- Ensure that employees are fully executing and complying with the contracted scope of work
- Coordinate required inspections with local jurisdictions
- Perform Superintendent duties at multiple job sites, simultaneously
- Walk all units on the project regularly to monitor activities, assist in future planning, and maintain the highest company standards
- Preside over weekly employee meetings designed to coordinate the work
- Ensure that the job site is always kept in a clean and organized manner
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
- High School diploma or GED.
- Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience
- Experience with commercial, multi-family, warehouse, and industrial projects is preferred
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Must be able to travel to the jobsite(s) as assigned.
- Knowledge of Microsoft suite or products and BlueBeam desirable
