Join our team as a full-time Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Manager at our second-generation, family owned and operated flexible packaging company in Ames, Iowa.

The EHS Manager is responsible for managing workplace safety programs, OSHA compliance, and injury prevention while also overseeing environmental programs related to air emissions, hazardous waste management, and regulatory reporting.
Example Duties/Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain safety programs
- Manage OSHA reporting and recordkeeping
- Conduct workplace inspections and audits and recommend improvements and corrective actions
- Investigate workplace incidents and manage incident follow-up including reporting requirements
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and state regulations including hazard communication, air emissions, and waste disposal
- Monitor chemical storage and environmental compliance requirements
- Manage programs related to key safety topics including hazard communication, PPE, forklifts, and more
- Lead safety trainings and meetings to ensure employees understand and follow safety policies and practices
- Build strong relationships across the organization to promote a positive, proactive safety culture
You Will Need:
- 5 years of full-time experience in an EHS role within a manufacturing or industrial setting
- Strong understanding of environmental regulations and hazardous waste management
- Excellent communication skills for presenting and facilitating training
