Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain operations of wellhead equipment, keep accurate records of production, troubleshoot and correct issues, gauge tank batteries, maintain pumping units, saltwater pumps, repair small leaks, and report production information.
- Operate, test, and inspect pumping and wellhead equipment to ensure proper operation, operate and maintain electrical panels, gas engines, testers, phase separators, water knockouts, heaters, and stock tanks, and all other wellhead equipment and compressors on sites. Ensure detection of oil, water or gas leaks, broken seals on tank valves, and proper operations of equipment; collect, analyze, and reset malfunctions on automated wells.
- Repair production equipment such as replacing defective valve seats, replacing elements in filters on compressor skids, minor repairs to stop leaks, etc. Replace gas meter batteries and update charts.
- Read and record daily data from lease oil and gas measurement equipment; complete required paperwork (e.g. gauge sheets, compressor and engine logs, and preventative maintenance logs); enter daily production readings and well test readings; run all required reports and recognize when well production is declining; and complete time sheets, daily work sheets, and logs.
- Ensure tank thief hatches are securely closed; ensure lockout/tagout procedures are followed.
- Advise water haulers when water is ready for pickup and disposal.
- Pick up at yard and transport solvent, grease, oils, valve seats, gloves, and other materials required for regular activities at work sites.
- Ensure proper servicing, maintenance, and security for assigned Company vehicle.
- Maintain general lease/well appearances; and maintain leases, wells, and pipeline right-of-way signs and various safety signs.
- Perform other duties as determined and required based on project need.

- In-depth knowledge of electrical panels, gas engines, testers, phase separators, water knockouts, heaters, and stock tanks, and all other wellhead equipment and compressors on sites.
- In-depth understanding of how to test, repair, or adjust equipment to retain or recover lost production.
- Basic knowledge of machines and tools, including their design, use, repair, and maintenance.
- Strong knowledge of state and federal safety and environmental rules and regulations in assigned areas.
- Working knowledge of computer software used to create and track work orders for mechanical maintenance.
- Working knowledge of lab top, note pad, or other handheld and computer devices.
- Strong ability to read and understand maintenance/operations manuals for equipment specifications parts and procedures in order to identify and ensure timely repairs are made.

Physical Requirements:
- Sit for long periods of time while driving between Company yard and job sites.

- Travel locally during the work day between company yard and multiple jobsites, although some out-of-area travel may be expected with seldom overnight travel.
- Work irregular hours to include nights and weekends.
