About the Role
This is a key position that requires a highly skilled and experienced Lease Operator to join our team at Killam Companies. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our lease equipment, performing routine maintenance and repairs, and keeping accurate records of production.
Key Tasks
- Inspect and maintain lease wellhead equipment to ensure optimal production levels.
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on lease equipment, including replacing defective valve seats and minor repairs to stop leaks.
- Read and record daily data from lease oil and gas measurement equipment, complete required paperwork, and enter daily production readings and well test readings.
- Develop and implement effective maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and maximize production.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent, with technical or vocational training preferred.
- At least two to five years of experience in equipment maintenance and repair within an oil and gas production plant/facility.
- In-depth knowledge of electrical panels, gas engines, testers, phase separators, water knock outs, heaters, and stock tank equipment.
- Strong mechanical skills, basic mathematical skills, and ability to read and understand maintenance/operations manuals.
