Job Summary:
The Bid Support Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficient administration of bids, managing liaison communications, and addressing customer inquiries. This position involves meticulously recording customer RFQs and updates, thoroughly reviewing technical packages and requirements, and effectively communicating these details to relevant parties within KMM. Working closely with the Proposal Coordinator, the Bid Support Specialist is responsible for processing all Requests For Quotes (RFQ) to completion. This role requires collaboration with all members of the bidding group to develop high-quality proposals tailored to various customer specifications. The Bid Support Specialist ensures that quotes are submitted accurately and punctually, upholding the company's reputation for fairness and ethical conduct. A professional demeanor and exceptional communication skills are essential for success in this role.

Essential Job Functions:
- Record all customer RFQs and updates to RFQs in a timely manner.
- Review RFQ document packages, including Statement of Work (SOW), Parts List, Dimensional Drawing, Specifications, Quality Notes, and other requirements.
- Communicate RFQ summaries to KMM internal interested parties to obtain bid/no bid decisions (Program Managers, Engineers, Strategic Sourcing Analysts, Planning, etc.) in a professional, organized, and accurate manner.
- Answer questions from KMM internal colleagues regarding RFQ status and RFQ packages.
- Submit completed bid packages to the customer on time, within RFQ deadlines.
- Timely and professional communication with internal and external customers.
- Work under pressure and become familiar with the needs and capabilities of various KMM programs.
- Identify processes required in the RFQ and determine whether KMM facilities can perform those processes.
- Communicate regularly by phone and email with bidding group members.
- Escalate questions regarding engineering packages to the Proposal Coordinator.
- Work with Strategic Sourcing Analysts and to be able to respond quickly to questions regarding materials.
- Collaborate with the team to answer RFQ questions and reach a bid/no bid decision as soon as possible.
- Ability to work effectively within virtual teams to produce winning bids.
- Comply with company standards, procedures, and protocols.
- Carry out the QMS principles.
Job Requirements/Qualifications:
- Education:
- Required:High school diploma or equivalent.
- Preferred:Associates or Bachelor's Degree in business, accounting, or engineering-related discipline.
- Experience:
- Minimum of one-year experience in business, accounting, or engineering.
- Skills:
- Technical Skills:Ability to understand and apply technical concepts, read and interpret wire and circuit card drawings.
- Manufacturing Knowledge:Familiarity with high volume manufacturing and LEAN Concepts.
- Software Proficiency:Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneNote).
- Analytical Skills:Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Language Skills:Fluently read, write, and speak English.
