Culture & Events Intern

Position Summary
The Culture & Events Intern will play a key role in supporting the planning and execution of Kiln's cultural programming, events, and member engagement initiatives. This internship provides hands-on experience in event coordination, hospitality, and cross-functional collaboration, with exposure to food and beverage strategy and community-focused projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in planning and executing internal and external events, including team lunches, all-hands meetings, and large-scale gatherings such as Kiln Camp and Kilnsgiving.
- Support investor relations and marketing events like the Founders Retreat and Pine Creek Ski Day by managing logistics and participant coordination.
- Collaborate on curating food and beverage offerings and liaise with vendors to ensure high-quality service and experiences.
- Enhance team office environments with thoughtful decor, snacks, and other curated touches.
- Maintain inventory of relevant event materials, swag, and supplies, ensuring availability and timely distribution.
- Handle payments and reconciliations related to events, food and beverage, and vendor contracts.
- Provide administrative and operational support to the Director of Culture & Events and other team members as needed.
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Hospitality, Event Management, Marketing, or a related field.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proactive, adaptable, and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with Google Suite, Microsoft Suite, and event management tools (e.g., Asana) is a plus.
