Kilpatrick Townsend’s Electronics & Software Patent Prosecution team is seeking a USPTO-registered Attorney with a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field. The ideal candidate will have at least 4 years of patent prosecution experience, with a background in drafting and prosecuting software applications in technologies including cloud infrastructure, artificial intelligence / machine learning, networking, and enterprise software systems. Applicants must be detail-oriented and possess strong technical writing skills. Transcripts and patent-related writing samples will be requested. This Patent (Team) Attorney position is an alternative to traditional partnership-track positions and features a lower yearly billable hour requirement. The position provides an opportunity to work with leading-edge clients and cutting-edge technologies in a wide array of technical fields.
Office base location options : Atlanta, GA; Denver, CO; Menlo Park, CA; Raleigh, NC; San Francisco, CA; Seattle, WA; Walnut Creek, CA; Washington, DC; Winston-Salem, NC. Attorney candidates with corresponding state bar for office location base preferred.
Expected salary range : $150,000-$220,000.
