Store Assistant Manager
Reports to: Manager
Department Sales and Production
Classification: Retail Assistant Manager collaborates with co-manager
Work Location: Williamsburg
Supervisor of: Employees
Base pay: Variable based on experience
Bonus Pay: Variable, based on sales and success of quarterly budget goals, issued in December each year.
Other benefits: 2 weeks paid vacation available after one year.
Time Commitment: Expected to work at least 40 hours a week, with an understanding that busier times of year will often require overtime.
JOB SUMMARY
Works under direction of the Regional Manager. Runs the daily operation of the retail store in tandem with other assistant managers. Accountable for meeting budget and projections. Upholds standards and procedures for staff. Focuses on the overall theme of “selling enjoyment” and the values that lead to community transformation.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Maintains daily operations of retail store with respect to COG, Labor and Driving Sales.
Shares on call duties with Manger
Counts down drawers, does day sheets and makes bank deposits if necessary
Greets and waits on guests (makes sure every customer has an enjoyable experience)
Position the right people in the right places in the store
Makes sure that all special orders and ship outs are taken care of.
Keeps retail shoppe clean and neat at all times
Understands and follows Kilwin’s procedure manual
Maintains inventory and accounts for all products sold, taken or given away (promotional) from the retail store.
Handles ordering and inventory issues.
Establishes and invests in a Leadership Team (bi-monthly meetings)
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Answers phone
Takes phoned-in and walk-in mail orders
Engage and commit to our leadership development program
Works with managers and Leadership Team to troubleshoot training processes
Gives Performance Reviews and Raises
Shares interviewing and onboarding with Manager
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Must have excellent people/customer skills
Must be able to follow corporate policies and procedures
Must have good organizational and follow through skills
Must have a constant focus on Leadership development.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High school diploma necessary
Two years minimum prior experience in sales and a management position required.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to lift 40 lbs. in merchandise

Pay: $17.00 - $25.00 per hour
