Kim’s Pharmacy is a high volume pharmacy that serves the Waynesville and surrounding communities. Our pharmacy offers advanced pharmacy services to the community including compounding, medication synchronization, delivery, comprehensive medication reviews, medication therapy management (MTM), immunizations and time of day packaging.

Responsibilities

The Pharmacy Technician is an essential member of the pharmacy team and assists the Pharmacist with tasks related to medication dispensing, medication management, and customer service.

Typical daily tasks include:

• Maintaining patient profiles
• Receiving and entry of new prescriptions
• Answering phones
• Obtaining all necessary third party information
• Insurance billing
• Problem resolution
• Counting and filling prescriptions
• Inventory maintenance (ordering, receiving, stocking)
• Point of sale cashier - including drive-thru
• Fill in delivery when the driver is unavailable

Qualifications

• Registration with the NC Board of Pharmacy upon hire (we will help with this)
• Certification within one year

Compensation
$14 per hour, depending on experience, negotiable

Pay: From $14.00 per hour

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Required)

Experience:

• Pharmacy Technician Experience: 1 year (Preferred)
• Customer Service: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• Pharmacy Technician Certification (Preferred)
• PTCB Certification (Preferred)

Shift availability:

• Day Shift (Preferred)
