The Environmental Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the implementation of all environmental programs and training.

- Oversee that all Local, State and EPA mandated programs and plans are reviewed, revised and implemented.
- Responsible for overseeing the training required by Local, State and EPA are conducted regularly per regulations.
- Assist with the coordination of response to emergency situations.
- Initiate incident investigations; implement corrective and preventive actions, based on root causes identification as they apply to environmental incidents.
- Responsible for maintaining all permits and files required by Local, State and EPA.
- Responsible and accountable for providing the required Local, State and EPA training documentation for all personnel.
- Oversee the development of teams addressing environmental initiatives.
- Responsible for keeping management aware of status of environmental activities.
- Responsible for assigned key strategies and tactics to achieve key performance goals per business plan.
- Support our Vision and Core Beliefs and other policies of Kimball International, Inc.
- Follow and Support the Quality System
- Supports 6S initiatives and Continuous Improvement.
- Promote and sustain the Environmental Management System (EMS).
- Facilitates EMS Team Meetings (documents Minutes).
- Serves as the EMS Management Representative.
