Electron and ion systems are optimized for beam energies ranging from 1 eV to 100 keV and beam currents from femtoamperes to amperes.
Position:
CAD Drafter
Overview:
This position is responsible for translating technical designs into technical drawings using software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks or similar programs.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Collects drawings, data, and notes for a project, and then creates technical drawings that specify dimensions, production methods, and materials
- Collaborate with Engineering to ensure the accuracy of designs
- Evaluate existing drawings and develop new and improved drawing
- Troubleshoot drafting issues
- Ensure drawings meet industry standards and specifications
- Create, manage, and maintain accurate bills of materials (BOMs) used to manufacture products using ERP software.
- Collaborate with engineering to ensure BOMs reflect the latest company specifications
Skills/Abilities Required
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and interface effectively with fellow team members,
Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree in engineering or equivalent experience
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, bulletins and supplemental instructions
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Physical Requirements
- Requires the ability to sit / stand for long periods of time.
- May be required to occasionally carry and /or lift to 50 pounds.
