Position:
Electronic Test / Assembly Technician
Overview:
The Electronic Test / Assembly Technician supports Manufacturing, Quality and Engineering by testing, troubleshooting and repairing products and systems.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Perform manual and automated calibration, adjustments, preventative maintenance, and troubleshooting of products.
- Evaluate test failures and determine if repair or re-alignment is required.
- Perform calibration and adjustment procedures on customer and company products.
- Repair and rework of PCB / cable assemblies.
- Utilize strong computer skills, including automated Calibration Systems.
- Assist in maintaining the Calibration team's accreditation through participation in proficiency testing, quality measure assurance programs, and applicable training.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Skills/Abilities Required:
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and interface effectively with fellow team members, customers, and management while adhering to the highest standards of business ethics.
- Ability to calibrate HV power supplies both manually and using automated test procedures.
- Understand project timeline, goals and processes and take the lead to complete those requirements.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent troubleshooting and technical skills.
Minimum Education and Experience Required:
- 2 years technical or electrical mechanical experience.
- 1 year of related work experience.
- Ability to read, interpret, and understand schematics, BOMs, and other engineering documents.
- Soldering skills / mechanical assembly a plus.
Physical Requirements:
- Requires the ability to sit / stand for long periods of time.
- May be required to occasionally carry and /or lift to 65 pounds.
