Position Title: Planner / Scheduler
Position Summary:
The Planner - Scheduler will plan production, schedule manufacturing orders, and coordinate the flow of work and materials to meet delivery expectations of forecasted and actual sales.
Supervisory Responsibilities:

Duties / Responsibilities:
- Develop production and inventory management plans to support both material and finished good requirements.
- Identify current and potential product shortages, develop, and execute recovery plans.
- Release manufacturing orders based on material requirements planning (MRP) and coordinate the flow of material throughout the production cycle.
- Monitor inventory levels, and regularly provide production status updates to management.
- Utilize Material Requirements Planning system (MRP) to ensure data is accurate and up to date.
- Modify and adapt production schedules and issues order changes to accommodate revisions, cancellations, or priorities.
- Maintain capacity information in ERP/MRP systems.
- Analyze data and collaborate with the Manufacturing Manager to determine and apply appropriate ordering, inventory, and replenishment policies.
- Understand and highlight capacity constraints and work collaboratively with manufacturing teams on resolution.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Knowledge and experience with Manufacturing and Production Planning
- Strong understanding and experience with ERP/MRP systems required.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel.
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions while working with changing priorities and competing demands.
- Outstanding planning and organizational skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture of goods.
- Ability to interact well with internal and external customers.
Minimum Education and Experience Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain or related field, or equivalent experience
- 5 years’ professional experience in manufacturing planning
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Occasionally must be able to lift/carry up to 25 pounds.
