Document Processor
We are an established real estate law firm with offices across California. Our Los Angeles office is looking for a Document Processor to join our fast-paced team. If chosen as the successful candidate, you will be responsible for assisting attorneys with document production in a high-volume environment. Compensation:
$22.00-$26.00/hour DOE full benefits
Responsibilities:
- Prepare discovery, mostly including requests for admissions and requests for demand for production of documents
- Prepare other legal documents as may be needed (proofs of service, notices of ruling, meet and confer, summons and complaints, defaults and default judgments, writs, etc.)
- Assist with e-filing legal documents
- Communicate with the courts by phone to obtain case-related information
- Perform data entry into firms database.
Qualifications:
We are looking for candidates with the following qualifications:
- Minimum typing speed of 60 wpm
- Strong attention to detail and ability to proofread with accuracy
- E-filing experience
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel and PDF programs
- Ability to work against inflexible firm and court filing deadlines in a team environment
- Excellent communication and time management skills
The following qualifications are preferred:
- Previous law firm experience
- ProLaw experience
Schedule:
Position is full-time at 40 hours/week. Our business hours are 8:30am-5:30pm Monday-Thursday, 8:30am-5:00pm Friday.
We currently offer a hybrid in-office remote work model for select positions within the Firm. New hire employees who are offered a hybrid schedule will complete their onboarding and training in-office as deemed necessary for the position by the firm before transitioning to a hybrid schedule, subject to approval by their supervisor.
