We are an established real estate law firm with offices across California. Our Concord office is looking for a full-time Law and Motion Assistant. The purpose of this position is to assist attorneys and other individuals involved in the process of filing evictions.

Compensation
$22.00 - $29.00/hourly, depending on experience
Responsibilities
Position is full-time at 40 hours/week. Our business hours are 8:30am-5:30pm Monday-Thursday, 8:30am-5:00pm Friday.
We currently offer a hybrid work model for select positions within the Firm. New hire employees who are offered a hybrid schedule will complete the majority of their onboarding and training in-office as deemed necessary for the position by the firm before transitioning to a hybrid schedule, subject to approval by their supervisor.

Responsibilities
- Draft, file and follow up on post settlement motions and declarations in unlawful detainer cases
- Learn different court requirements for motion and ex-parte filings in the Los Angeles and Northern California jurisdictions
- Contact the court to reserve hearing dates and obtain case status updates and rulings
- Draft, files and serve Notice of Rulings and Entry of Judgments
- Update clients regarding motions and oppositions
- Additional duties as needed by the department
- Previous legal experience, including drafting motions and ex-partes
- Experience with California E-filing systems
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, versatile computer skills, and ability to multi-task
- Knowledge of unlawful detainers
