Logistics Assistant
Purpose: As a Logistics Assistant, my purpose is to ensure the smooth and efficient movement of
goods by coordinating shipments, managing inventory, and supporting supply chain processes,
while maintaining accuracy and communication to meet the needs of the organization and its
customers.
Responsibilities:
- Shipment Coordination: Assist in coordinating incoming and outgoing shipments,
ensuring timely delivery of goods. Prepare shipping documents, labels, and invoices. - Communication: Liaise with suppliers, carriers, and customers to track shipments, resolve
issues, and provide updates on delivery status. Maintain good relationships with logistics
partners. - Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all logistics transactions,
including shipping documents, delivery notes, and inventory reports. Ensure compliance
with company policies and legal requirements. - Warehouse Support: Assist in organizing and maintaining the warehouse, including
labeling, sorting, and ensuring the proper storage of goods. - Compliance: Ensure that all logistics activities adhere to relevant laws, regulations, and
company policies. Assist in preparing for inspections and audits. - Problem Solving: Identify and resolve any issues or delays in the logistics process. Escalate
complex problems to the Logistics Manager as needed. - Other Duties: Perform other related duties as assigned by the Logistics Manager to support
the department's goals and objectives.
Qualifications:
- Ability to learn quickly with a desire to continue learning
- Strong work ethic
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Basic computer skills required
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills to be used when working with Kimbel employees
and customers - Having a general knowledge of plumbing parts is helpful
- Ability to pass a drug screen
