It starts with YOU.  As the Senior Mechanical Engineer at our New Milford, Connecticut Mill you will join our Portfolio Development and Commercialization Team - initiating designs, as well as develop, optimize and problem solve manufacturing processes.  In this role, you will :

  • Lead single or multiple product or process improvement projects with a financial scope of up to $20 million from conception through commercialization.
  • Provide functional leadership and creativity in the initiation of design, development, and optimization of high speed manufacturing and converting equipment to meet unit objectives.
  • Develop knowledge and skills so as to be recognized for expertise and functional leadership in application of engineering principles, scientific analysis and project management while providing advice and counsel to others.
  • Carry out all job responsibilities in a safe manner.  Develop equipment and processes that meet safety codes, policies and guidelines.

Provide for the safety and well-being of operators, maintenance, and other personnel.

  • Collaborate with a cross-functional team that includes R&E, product supply, mill operations, procurement, marketing, equipment suppliers and external service providers
  • Seek, recognize, define, and solve problems to achieve unit objectives.
  • Identify complex technical issues to determine root cause.

    To succeed in this role, you will need the following qualifications :

  • Candidates must possess a Bachelor's or advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited college or university and 8 years or more of experience in a variety of technical or operational assignments.
  • Strong experience using manufacturing analysis tools, such as :   statistical process control, design of experiments, process capability studies, Six Sigma and lean manufacturing.
  • A recognized expert in CTEC manufacturing and converting processes with a demonstrated ability to translate that knowledge into execution of process and capacity improvements in major capital and empty wallet projects.
  • A demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams to achieve project results within required timeframes. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS :
  • 12 years or more of experience in a variety of plant and staff assignments, including maintenance and operations.
  • Experience and expertise with Kimberly-Clark Family Care engineering technology, procedures, processes and products.
  • Experience working with external technical service providers.
  • Evidence of continuing self-development.

Salary Range : $117,000 - $144,000 USD At Kimberly-Clark, pay is just one aspect of our total rewards package, which also includes a variety of benefits and opportunities to achieve, thrive and grow.

    Along with base pay, this position offers eligibility for a target bonus and a comprehensive benefits suite, including our 401(k) and Profit-Sharing plan.

    The anticipated base pay range for this role is provided above for a fully qualified hire.

    Actual pay will depend on several factors, such as location, role, skills, performance, and experience.

    Please note that the stated pay range applies to US locations only. Kimberly-Clark will support in-country relocation for the chosen candidate for the role.
