This role is responsible for creating and driving the Enterprise Capital Sustaining and Standards Strategy, with focus on optimizing the Enterprise sustaining capital portfolio and driving development/adherence to major project standards.

In This Role, You Will

  • Create and execute a five-year Sustaining Capital and Infrastructure Strategy with proactive approaches to manage ~$300MM spend and drive efficiencies, while ensuring a healthy operational environment in our manufacturing facilities in partnership with REFM.
  • Drives processes for both Standards Playbook adherence and sustaining capital allocation governance with project engineering, the manufacturing facilities and Segment leadership globally.
  • Drives creation of or clarity surrounding all building and construction standards or specifications for manufacturing facilities, warehouses, RDC’s etc.
  • Ensures cost efficiencies, best practice models, and new ways of working are built into new projects and the Sustaining Capital Strategy and executed Globally. Scope covers capital classes 4,5 & 6 with focus on class 5.
  • Ensure adherence to use of allocated capital within the prioritized areas and addresses any off cycle, emergency, or urgent needs to meet the ongoing operational needs of the business.
  • Partner with REFM team to drive standardization in managing sustaining operational requirements across our facilities. Identifying improvements in the management/ maintenance of our facilities through monitoring industry standards, technology and process improvements.
  • Ensures management of risk (in partnership with Global Risk Management) for all projects, to meet risk and compliance requirements while being as cost effective as possible.
  • Collaborate with diverse and geographically dispersed team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, best practice sharing/adoption and innovation
  • Build and sustain cross-functional and global relationships to accomplish objectives including partnerships with Segment/ABU/functional teams.

To succeed in this role, you will need the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction, Supply Chain Management or related field.
  • Demonstrated expertise leading and delivering facility and infrastructure related capital projects & decisions in partnership with both internal partners and external entities.
  • Experience in Project Management, cost estimating and value engineering.
  • Understanding of basic construction/building code requirements leveraged in manufacturing and production facilities.
  • Technical knowledge of production asset technology, having had input to asset/safety standards across both Personal Care & Tissue platforms.
  • Proficient knowledge of global manufacturing trends and best practices in capital project management.
  • Strong financial & business acumen.
  • Ability to lead and influence without authority in a matrixed organization and hierarchy.
  • Experience in implementing sustainable and environmental-efficient solutions
  • Effective, consistent global communications and stakeholder management skills. Executive presentation skills & experience favourable.
  • Willingness to travel (<20%) for on-site assessments and collaboration with segments and ABUs globally.

    The position is performed in normal office conditions with physical location to be agreed, subject to Kimberly-Clark's flexible-work policies and safety protocols. Global locations outside North America will be considered. This role will need to be based in a location within travel distance of KC facility/office.

    Salary Range: $158,000 - $195,000 USD

Along with base pay, this position offers eligibility for a target bonus and a comprehensive benefits suite, including our 401(k) and Profit-Sharing plan. The anticipated base pay range for this role is provided above for a fully qualified hire. Actual pay will depend on several factors, such as location, role, skills, performance, and experience. Please note that the stated pay range applies to US locations only.
