Responsibilities:
- Process and record incoming payments from customers and vendors accurately and in a timely manner
- Reconcile customer and vendor accounts and resolve any discrepancies or outstanding balances
- Prepare and send regular statements to customers and vendors regarding their outstanding balances
- Investigate and resolve customer and vendor inquiries related to billing and payment issues
- Monitor aging accounts and follow up on overdue payments
- Collaborate with the sales team to ensure accurate and timely billing of vehicle sales
- Assist with month-end closing procedures, including preparing account reconciliations and financial reports
- Maintain accurate records of customer and vendor transactions and in the accounting system
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in accounts receivable or a similar role, preferably in an automotive or retail environment
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- Proficiency in using accounting software and MS Office applications, particularly Excel
- Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills
- Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and discretion
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to resolving issues
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, while managing multiple priorities
- High level of accuracy and efficiency in data entry and record-keeping
